I can't really tell what your trying to say, but it sounds like your saying your engine wouldn't start without turning it over a couple times. Is that correct? And yes it takes longer to turn over due to the cold sometimes.

mine does this everytime its cold. i just prime the fuel pump and tap the pedal a couple times and it starts right up. i would think the rough start would be bad on the starter or other parts.

^ you do realize tapping the pedal does nothing with fuel injection?

I wouldnt worry much, cold weather does the same thing to a lot of cars for various reasons.

Fuel atomizes poorly in the cold weather. And if the injectors are old and slightly clogged, it doesnt help.

And in some cases, pedaling the throttle does help to lean out the mixture on start up. Regardless of the car being fuel injected. However, if the car is relatively stock, you shouldnt need too.
