ok..yes there is a such thing as too much wax. Once you start getting on the 3rd coat or so of wax you start to actually remove the bottoms layers. Even with a layerable wax. So really your wasting your time. You should only have to wax your car a few times a year. So if you "have" to wax it more than that well, get a new wax.

omy....how did i know you were going to jump in...??? but yeah....even if you do apply TOO MUCH of wax, it wont hurt your paint tho..??? right?

what i would do is claybar then wax. claybar remove the existing wax so you can apply the new wax. FYI, you should wash your car regularly. if not, your paint will start to fade in the sun. but this is an issue only in the summer when it's really hot.

I thought the clay bars just removed dirt and contaminants from the paint not the actual wax......?

I doubt it would unless you use some abrasive cleaning routine every time you wax and polish

it does, if u want to strip the wax use a polish but waxing your car every other week is pushing it.

Ok so waxing every week=BAD.......But what about using the detailer? Cuz on the bottle is says that you can use it everytime you wash or if there is any little spot (ex. bird poop) that you may need to "clean."
