You youngsters are damn near expected to have your car lowered. Us groan ups are expected to have safe cars, boring jobs, a normal house, & no life. :okay2:
The few groan ups that do have lowered cars & a life are looked at a little different, like we need to grow up or some thing. I find it funny

There is a difference between "young" and "immature". Sometimes it's difficult to draw the border between those two. Being a car enthusiast, I think one should have some sort of "youth" in his/her mind to be passionate about it.

For guys who have been told by your ladies to "grow up" from liking cars, tell them:
"Oh, yeah? Then why don't you also grow up and realize that spending money on purses, clothes, shoes, that you only wear them for a few times, is not so wise? :guile:"
They will defend themselves, but just say: "Yeah, yeah, yea. :naughty:" And call it even.

Good to see that I am not the only geezer riding low. Funny thing is that I am thinking of going lower still for next spring. As I'm riding on 18s, 225/40-18, it's harder, but will make the switch to 215/35-18 and another turn of ff2, to be at around 23.5 fender height !!!

17! Think I'm the youngest here so far...

I am also 17 , bought this car all by myself, however my car is not lowered. Perhaps when I have the funds for it I will consider it (maybe once I get my real estate license, ill have a better income)

This car is my lovely daily driver, and I am currently thinking that it will cause me issues being lowered. One ****ty road and its over :signlol:

On the topic of age I would say that it does not parallel maturity, nor does being lowered. Cars are a passion that many men share, and a very expensive but rewarding hobby, so as long as you have your own disposable income use it on whatever you like. Some people like boats, cottages, etc. and some people love modding cars  .. my girlfriend doesnt approve of this expense however

-Edit-

Best not say anything at all. We all know the women are right ;)

Lou.
This thread fascinates me. You always see the car but never get to know the mentality of the people who drive them or why they do what they do.

On a personal note, I have always put priorities (or tried) ahead of my hobby. When I turned 24 I made a decision to put up the expensive hobby and attempt to focus my time and efforts else where. For about a year I backed off the car scene Driving a 90' Civic hatch at the time lightly modded. During that year I did a lot of self reflection. As far back as I could remember, I always liked cars, car stuff, anything automotive. Pretty sure before I could pick up a Hot Wheels.....at 30 now I still feel this way.

What I found in that year was myself. A car guy through and through. Denying that is like a painter putting down their brush. It is what you are at your very core. To forget that is to forget what your are.

LIVE how you should,
LOVE who you should, and never give up what
DRIVEs you

Not to get off topic but outside of the wheels, your car is my dream 6thgen in both style and performance. My car looks very similar, but much higher with an OEM rear lip, modded to fit an 01-02. What to trade? Haha.
