Re: Turbo Build for 10psi

I hope you have a welder at home.yes that is a very good beg. turbo kit,not dissing on that,im running the same turbo on mine;if its stamped M12.
But if you have read previous threads, those pipes are going to hang WAY to low to the ground, all the members here had to cut them and reweld them.so just a word of advice, maybe they changed there design since but dought it.
good luck, nice seeing other turbo accords.thought i was one of the few for awhile..ha

and also, both the BOV and wastegate should last for a while;but knockoffs BOV tend to stick open or stuck close.

Yeah my buddies dad works in a machine shop i already noticed a few modifications that will be done to the piping tomorrow before it goes in i didnt know they would hang so low thanks ill make sure to measure that.

I heard that about the BOV's i know someone selling their car and im gonna buy their HKS but hopefully it will work for now.

Also on the cylinder sleeving thats something that is in my future budget hopefully after i get some holiday $$$$ if im lucky. But i think that the block will hold under 10 psi for now, i do have forged internals so sleeves is the last thing to secure my bottom end.

Thanks for all the tips keep it coming

it just wasnt very cooperative with its movement and fitting..ha
so the installer just cut it in half and threw it away.
and like i said installed a high temp rubber hose

This is the 5th thread about this that you've made. I merged the last one with this one. Start another, and it gets locked.

What I don't understand is why you would have forged internals put in, if you know you are going to have to sleeve it later, wouldn't it make more sense to do it all at once??

Too much wishful thinking going on... on a number of different levels.
Pessimism is almost a NEEDED trait when dealing with a build, you gotta think of all the things that could go wrong and prevent them, instead of hoping everything goes right :lawl:

Who has actually had success with FI + VAFC?

+1 on why you didn't think about sleeving when doing the pistons. Do it right, do it once. Right?

Forged internals....thought you only had J32 heads, as previously stated by you.
