Two Intake Manifold Questions

1) Do the two holes serve any purpose?
2) Would it be a problem to plug them?

Why would you want to plug them? Looks like something is supposed to be mounted to that. What IM is that for?

It's an f23 manifold. I'd plug them because they look like useless holes. (Unless they're speed holes - I hear they make the car go faster)

So judging by this picture I found the two holes ARE useless. Unfortunately now I want to do what this guy did...

Anything worth doing is worth overdoing, right?

That dude completely fudged the dynamics of the intake. He basically diminished all air velocity going into the runners by doing that.

Do not plug those holes either. They have several functions, including allowing any extra liquids (oil from the PCV valve, or excess fuel from external injectors for a nitrous/boost setup) to drain slowly into the intake charge and burn off.
