Why are you on 6thgen when your about to pull the motor? Get to work!
haha I was wating for that 240 for get off the lift but I said **** it and just started pulling **** off on the ground only got about half an hour of work in but I should have a good four hours on it tomorrow and every tool I could possibly need so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

btw can I pull the engine and trans straight out the top? I dont see anything that would make that a problem but alldata says to drop it out the bottom.

im so fing jeolous, i want a turbo. lol cant wait to see it man good luck with the build.

haha I'll take you for a ride when its done as long as the weathers nice.

Ha-ha. Okay, fair enough....

You can pull it out the top. You'll have to take the transmission off first cause it makes it a million times easier unless you pull it out at an angle. Also its tricky to reach the rear mount sometimes. If you can, take the Intake manifold off too, it would make it easier also. If you don't it can be quite tricky... But when you put it back in, put it in with the manifold attached. Too hard to get in after you dropped the motor in.

The other thing is if you remove the transmission, head, intake manifold ect. off prior to pulling the bottom end out too... It's really easy from there on.

ok everything's unhooked except the two side mounts. Gotta test first thing when we go into class and then we're in the shop for the rest of the night. should have it out no later then like 8. :gride:

It was good to see you at MIR!

Things are getting serious I see. We need to have another meet when it gets warm. Hopefully you will be finished by then so I can see this beast myself. :boink:

if all goes as planned it will be done before christmas. If not I'll have to get myself a storage unit to work out of to finish it and theres no telling how long that would take.

have you considered filling your motor mounts to get more of that hp to the ground?

nah I figured if they're total crap once I pull thve motor and can actually take a look at them then I would just order some innovatie ones.

what would I fill them with anyway? like if they were all cracked and ****ed up would this filling fix them? I've heard of filling mounts before I just have no idea how its done.

well motor's out but unfortunately I locked my keys in the car and in the process of us tryin to get the door unlocked the driver's side window shattered. :explode:

but since my buddy was the one prying on it when it broke he's offered to buy me a new one and put it in. So if anyone has one let me get it!!!
