Re: Dorian's Silver 99 accord 4 dr 4 cyl project
I do plan on refinishing the wheels when I can find the proper shop. I've heard of a place in Oahu, I'm in Maui, and prices years ago was about $600. That’s certainly a good investment if they are still around. The center caps are what I'm worried about the most. I'm not sure if their salvageable.
I had the suspension installed and adjusted almost as soft as possible and the ride was incredibly smooth. The rear didn't plop down as much as stock over higher speed bumps. There was a lot of rubbing if I had good speed or faster than I should have been on entry ways etc. I do have large/wide wheels that help with the rubbing. 19x8 225/35/19 with the rear camber sticking out. I bought a camber kit and will be rolling fenders, cutting the rear bumper tabs, 215 tire and an alignment as well. I just installed a TL type-s front strut bar and will be installing a rear Progress sway bar when I can find someone that will deliver when I pay ... long story. MODACAR SUCKS! Hopefully this will balance my front/rear more and have less rubbing, or not? I have the dampening turned all the way to firm, with front -7 and rear -9 clicks. Dramatic improvements with rubbing. It's pretty firm but drivable. I will soften them up when I finish installing the rest of my parts.
I need to stop spending money so I can save for an audio system!
