V6 6GA and 7GA Struts

Can anyone confirm as to whether or not struts are interchangeable between the V6 6th gen, and the 7th gen??

Just wondering, trying to figure some **** out........

I honestly have no clue, but I'd guess no.

5GA won't work with 6GA at all (or safely at least), so I'd assume 6GA won't work with 7GA.

yea, i really dont think they are justin. idk for a fact, but i highly doubt it. pm sleeper cell or doctor x on v6p, i heard something a while ago that he was sayin 7g ones would work with modification.

I'm just curious, because I know the lower mounts on the front and rears are similar, but not sure if they're the same. And I know that the 7GA, 3G TL and 1G TSX struts are interchangeable, and that the 6GA, 2G TL and CL are interchangeable.

I have a 6th gen 4cyl and 7th gen V6 struts would not fit.

The tophat studs on 7th gen strut did not line up with the holes in the front shock tower.
The studs are farther apart on the 7th gen.

6th gen v6 and I4 share the strut design so there's your answer.

Yeah I was aware that the top hats were different, I was more concerned about the lower mounts. My reason for asking this was that I bought a set of H&R Race springs for the TL, and I was looking for a good set of used aftermarket shocks. User iam_nas PM'd me and said he had a set of Illuminas for sale and that they were interchangeable between the 6th and 7th. I didn't think this was right, so I wanted clarification.

Most of the guys on AZine are using 7th Gen suspensions on their 3G TL's because companies like Megan and D2 don't make setups for the 3G TL, we just have to utilize the TL top hats because they're different.

im pretty sure the fronts never changed... i acutally used my 4th gen struts on my 6th gen last winter when my struts blew and i had a spare set... i didnt realize because they all looked the same... but it was the front only... Honda never changed the design of the front end suspension but as for the rear, i doubt it... matter fact i will say i dont know.... if i go home, i will take pics to show that the front design never changed... its still the strut on the whish bone..... which i still dont think it changed with the newer cars... as for the rears... i dunno
