I'm just curious what the different btwn the valet key & the master key. I lost my master key, a few weeks back and now I am using my only key left which is the valet key. I notice it won't open my glove compartment & trunk lock (the lock near the trunk latch inside the car), but it will open the trunk from the outside.

Yeah, the grey valet key will work for everything except glove box and the trunk inside. But besides that you're all good!

It does have a immobilizer chip. Without one the key wouldn't be able to start the car.

The valet key only unlocks/locks the doors and starts the car (no trunk, glove box, or trunklock at the gas/trunk lever)
