Title says it.

I don't have anyone local to buy my stock exhaust and it's taking up space. I wanna take it to the scrapyard and I wasn't sure what it's made of. It might be an alloy or mix of metals so that may or may not play a role in how much I get for it. Was just curious if anyone knew.

I thought piping was steel, and mufflers have to be steel or aluminum.

Rust = steel

Oxidation = aluminum

Don't get all technical with me either since rust is technically oxidation as well.

Anybody know what the stock system weighs?

Steel is $0.9/lb. Even at...40lbs(???) That's not even $4.

Put it to you this way -

When I scrapped my accord, plus a crankshaft, plus springs, dash bar, other misc scrap we had in the garage I barely got $50. That was like 600+lbs worth.

You're better off trying to sell it to someone.
