Called a few specialty shops to see if they had a smoke machine to test for my fuel vapor leak, none of them did. Then I called up Tire Discounters to humor myself...and they had one. Going Friday to try it out.

Make sure its not the evap canister or purge valve! Spend $80 smoking machine and it was those problems! No more CEL runs perfect!

^Did you have a 1456 code? That's what I have but I haven't really smelled any fuel inside or out. Anyway I replaced the gas cap, fuel canister & shutoff valve, and then the 2-way valve. Nothing worked.

Is purge valve another name for one of the valves I've already changed?

Like I said, once you see what I'm talking about you'll see why I said zip ties are fine in this case. It is a very very unusual use of hog rings.

Hog rings would be easier, and there is a difference between upholstery hog rings & pliers & real hog rings & pliers.

Odd thing about that is, we used to keep hogs & I've never used a hog ring on a hog, we had a 'gun' kinda like a price tag thing that used plastic tags. I've put hundreds 'hog rings' in car seats though.
