Finally heard from my paint guy. Picking up the trunk and lip spoiler today after work, he did them both for $300.

Mikey, what car are we talking about?

I made assumptions, but I would rather hear it from the "horse's mouth'.
We passed on the slammed 91. She went and got payments on an 09 Corolla S.

I HATE auto locks. My dad's Olds' had those damn things and they drove me nuts. My wife's Cobalt still has them, and I hate them with the fire of 1000 suns. :lawl:

One touch sunroof would be nice, I'd rather have one touch window/up down though.
Really? I kinda like it. My buddy's 01 Accord had one touch moonroof. IDK how or why but it did.

WoW, that's not bad at all! What are you doing about the trunk springs? I wasn't sure if you had thought about it but I'm sure you have, lol.

Thanks to F23A1AT giving me this pigtail from some door I think in a CD, I used it for my oem fog switch. It isn't the right plug, but it fits almost perfectly and is 5-pin. I just wanted something as oem as possible. The only problem I ever had was with the way it is wired up in the diy thread the button is always lit up like the lights have been turned on, so I spliced into the interior light wire going to the cruise control. 2nd wire from the bottom. I'm very happy with this. I should have staggered the crimp connectors but it'll be okay, lol. Huge thanks to F23A1AT.

That pigtail.... with the blue wires.... it's from the door panel I believe from a 5th gen accord. it fits the fog switch. as opposed to the ghetto, pretty much hard-wired so you can't remove it, method from the DIY. I wanted a way to disconnect it, and thought about a connector from radioshack, but it sucked and came loose, so I got that pigtail and used that. I wanted to make it as oem-ish as possible.

^Awesome, looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Thanks. This has been such a long time coming. Should have given up on finding the perfect trunk earlier haha.

Great choice. We were looking at those for my wife. Nice little car, and solid.

Really? I kinda like it. My buddy's 01 Accord had one touch moonroof. IDK how or why but it did.

Yeah I dunno, they just annoy me. The door's always locked when I wanna get out. The only time I lock my doors is if I'm driving through a bad end of town.

WoW, that's not bad at all! What are you doing about the trunk springs? I wasn't sure if you had thought about it but I'm sure you have, lol.

Nothin. Only undoing the two bolts on each hinge and unplugging the harnesses. Everything else stays where it is. Worst part will be trying to route the harnesses into the new trunk lid, since the center section has two tails and two reverse lights, and all those plugs have to be inserted from one side.

Were you thinking I'd remove the springs or something?

That pigtail.... with the blue wires.... blah blah blah....connectors w/5pins....blah blah blah.....I'm fukking MacGuyver....blah blah.

Nice man. Don't you love when stuff just works out.

I think there are different springs depending on whether or not you have a spoiler. Spoiler=Heavier Trunk Lid=Stronger Springs. Without the spoiler, your current springs may open the trunk really really fast. But I don't know if that's something that would have come with the new trunk...

Might your driver side door speaker be out or going out? Mine is.

IDK how solid it is, lol. We've only had it a week. It seems pretty solid so far though. It's an 09 S. One owner. Automatic with 65k. Mileage is a tad high for *MY* tastes but apparently the National average is something like 15-18k a year, so, whatever. Like I said, it has some 16" Enkeis on it that we both dislike. They also don't have TPMS. I know what cars and wheels will fit, I just need to research which ones have matching offset. I joined toyotanation.com but I dislike it. It's a little disjointed and isn't set up quite like my other forums. Not to mention their server is slow as fack.

Yeah I dunno, they just annoy me. The door's always locked when I wanna get out. The only time I lock my doors is if I'm driving through a bad end of town.
This one locks when shifted out of park, and unlocks when shifted into park. There's no lag or delay so the 5 seconds it takes you to get your zhit together and go for the door, it's unlocked.

Lol, no. I just know they're set to handle having the spoiler, thus, wound tight, so to speak. The trunk lid will now be lighter and when you pop your trunk, it'll fling open, violently. Knocking down old women and small children. :lawl:

And I thought you didn't have a center piece? Run third light harness back to the cabin, install solid center piece, **** *****es, get money.
