Traded my 16x7.5s for some 17x7 Motegi MR7s. Ill be adding some 10mm spacers all around tho. Don't ask why. Just come to terms with it. Lol

Any 0607 Accord, lol. I really like the sedans but I saw a coupe the other day and I liked it. A lot.

Ask her why she has so many ****ing shoes.

Seriously though, those are the only reasons dude, lol. But they're pretty big ones...how a car looks and how it performs are two of the top reasons we mod cars...I think you're thinking too much again.

I guess tell her that a lower car has a lower drag coefficient and you get better mpg's.

As bad as it sounds, she might believe that. She's not stupid by any means, she just doesn't know a lot about cars. IF I phrased it just like that, it might actually be believable.

I think Mikey's just scared to lower it.

Scared? No. Hesitant? Yes. But not out of fear. Out of...well, hesitation, lol. I want a CL-S or newer accord. The money I'd spend on suspension and the parts that entail with being low could be put towards something a shade better. I don't dislike my accord but can anyone blame me for wanting something slightly quicker and slightly nicer?

but seriously Mikey, just ask her why she cares anyways. it's not her car. when she asks you for a reason, say "because I want to, that's why." everyone needs something to do in their spare time, you don't need a legit reasoning behind EVERYTHING you do. Sometimes you just need to do things for yourself, regardless of how many people you know don't understand it. If she doesn't like it, she'll get over it eventually.

While the "because I want to, that's why" is probably not the best phrasing, Bax is right. My girl asked me about it once, I just explained that it was a hobby that I enjoyed and that it made me happy to have my car look good and she hasn't bothered me about it since.

I think these are good points. If I don't lower this car, ill lower the next car. I'm sure, eventually, I'll stop doing it. To DDs anyway, lol. It IS my car and I WILL do what I want. But when she tells me that SHE loves my car and thinks I should leave it like it is, it feels good that she even admits to liking my car. She's the first gf I've had who's either been into cars or who's liked my car and the fact that I mod it. She encourages me having hobbies and while my car is an expensive one, she still stands by it. I think it's just a matter of convincing her that it's part of the modding process. That and if I don't lower this car, I'll lower the next one.

I put on the FF type 2's today with a buddy.

Seemed like the hardest part was getting the car jacked up.

Anyway. I got some questions I'll just ask in here. I've done some searching and googling and can't find the answer.

If I completely removed the bottom lower brackets? and then re-thread them back onto the coilover, how much thread is needed to be considered a safe ride?

I basically need to know how far down I can thread it to achieve max height of the type 2's.

PS: I know I'm expected to slam the thing but I'm in Canada living with bad road conditions often so I'd like to see what it looks like at max height before I go down. Right now I feel like I'm too low.

Also, how close should the rear measures be to the fronts? Right now I assume that because I got the back different (higher) than the front, my back end went up further than stock and my front ends even lower? Can someone confirm.

Complete coil/suspension noob here. Before this I had installed a CAI, and break pads?

Just even the car out?
Take measurements and adjust it on the thread accordingly to the amount of space you have on each gap.

I know at stock height I could fit my fist in the gap.

And yea, I used a scissor jack to do it all so I feel your pain on getting the car up.
