@Chris, spotted a couple '03 TL-S sedans recently, and a 6spd swap would be just what the Dr. ordered for those.

@Dillon, I know, I had mentioned the changes, and then wanted to mention the 9th Gen as well.

The 9th Gen sedan looks like a Kia from the back.

^I think they look more like a Genesis from the back than anything.

And if I traded my car, it would have to be a TL that was already swapped, I can't go through that again. :lawl:

Actually, yes, a Genesis, the tails. I like the look of it, but don't think there will be much in terms of aftermarket upgrades, except some JDM Mugen stuff.

The TL-S A-SPEC should have come with a 6spd option.

The 9th Gen V6 has the 6spd option(standard/auto), but not sure if that is the case for the sedan.

What makes you think the 9GA support would be less than the 8GA's?

Wait I didn't think Acura really started using the A-Spec nomenclature until the 3G TL? I've never heard of a 2G TL A-Spec...or are you talking about the 3G now? I'm confused lol.

I hope they give it back to the sedan, it was dumb they ever took it away in the first place.

Actually I think the 1998-00 TL had an Aspec model, its what the old style lip that I've been searching for comes from they just didn't name it well.

Then in 2001 they switched it over to Type S and then did both for the 3rd gen.

Maybe it's a :canada: thing, but there doesn't seem to be alot. Add to that, the Accord, has been geared towards an older market, so aftermarket options tend to be minimal.

From Wikipedia,
2003 - Available only in Canada, Acura released an A-SPEC version of its popular TL Type-S in 2003. This edition was limited to 800 units, 400 in Nighthawk Black Pearl (NBP) and 400 in Aegean Blue Pearl (ABP). The differences between the A-SPEC and non-A-SPEC were cosmetic. This trim came with a full painted skirt kit. The A-SPEC featured blue perforated leather accents found on the steering wheel, the shift knob ( which was also different), the seats and the door panels. The rest of the black leather was stitched with a matching blue thread. The front headlights, front grille and door handles were painted same as the body color instead of the chrome found on other trims. Side turning markers were also exclusive to this model. Aluminum accents replace the black ones on the center console and the doors. There were also aluminum Acura door sills on the A-SPEC. The wheels were also model-specific. The A-SPEC also got a new spoiler with red lights on either side of it. To top it off, there were subtle A-SPEC badges on the carpets and under the usual 3.2 TL Type-S badge.

With the more "athletic" styling they are promoting for the sedan, it would make sense it get the 6spd back as well, but I guess we will see.

From Wikipedia,

Awesomeness.

Holy hell that is AWESOME, I had no idea. How cool would it be to find that steering wheel…probably next to impossible. I need to find some photos of that interior. Just...wow.

Sorta makes me sad though. Honda doesn’t give their cars special treatment like that anymore, they don’t even offer accent colors as an option. Those delicious details….long gone.

Please do it!
Best car ever made!

Imo the e46 is the best looking M3 ever made, perhaps even the best looking M car ever made. I’ve always wanted one since I saw a charcoal metallic coupe on the cover of Automobile Magazine in 2004 when it came out. The headlights/tail lights, the lines, all the “muscles”, everything on the exterior just looks perfect to me. The inside is actually kind of boring…but I think I could look past that. Lol

I want a white coupe w/black interior w/competition and cold weather package, and the CSL wheels. This interlagos blue coupe stares at me on my way home from work every day.

But I think I need a 4dr for when I have kids, so I can't have two 2dr cars. Which is why part of me wishes I had a 6spd swapped 2003 TL-S. Then this could be my 2dr fun car. sigh
