I was eating lunch with a friend, had a bit of a conversation with the server…
Bro: Hey is that red Honda outside one of y’all’s cars?
Me: Yeah, it’s my car.
Bro: Nice car bro, what’s that thing got under the hood, is it a VTEC?”
Me: Yeah, most Honda’s are VTEC.
Bro: Well yea, but I thought it might be a JDM motor or somethin.
Me: Nope, stock motor.
Bro: Oh aight, was hoping for something a little more. Well the white Impala outside is mine, ain’t that quick since it’s auto. But I got two Greddy turbos on it, it ain’t real fast to 60 but it’ll do 60 to 170mph in 3 seconds. (was a 00-05 non-SS model)
Me: Oh, sweet.
What I really wanted to say was, I don’t believe you. And that I hope he raced at a track. But I knew I’d be disappointed in the answers to both those questions, so I was nice. Not making fun of the guy, but what he said was dumb. And he came across as one of those types of people that you just don't want to know a lot about your car.

I think it's funny when people lie about their car, like they even know a bit of what they're talking about. Never call them out, just say, oh yeah that's pretty cool man.

Pulled rear subframe, suspension, and gas tank all out as one unit the other day. Drained tank, kept what I wanted to keep, cut up the rest for the scrap pile. Need to grab some totes to put all my extra parts in and then finish cutting up the shell.
BTW - the rear trailing arms are hollow incase anyone wanted to know. Thick steel, but hollow.

i hate it when people say stupid stuff like this. ugh...had a guy at work say "most people dont know it. but i have a turbo on my car." driving a '95 Probe with an exhaust leak and Hot Wheels wheels. wtf? i wanted to laugh at him so hard. lol.
looked in my shed to get my car wash stuff. found my car wash bucket on the ground and no car wash.....ugh...stooopid kids. gotta wait til tomorrow to get some car wash soap. was about to use Dawn but yeah. no thanks.

went rim window shopping. fack i found two sets of rims. thought i was gonna do the whole stance route. went back to my original plan with some nice 17s, good struts and lowering springs. might switch to some good sleeves later down the road tho.

Oh man I do car detailing on the side a bit and this was the first thing I noticed. Swirl mark central right there. Good thing it's white paint.
