there is added weight to one side (inner) of the tire meaning it will wear faster than the outside which also means it wears unevenly. I dont care what kind of tires your car has tires in general are not made for excessive negative/positive camber which is why alignments are performed especially after you install new tires on the car to protect your investment. Even though slight negative/positive camber is fine anything more than -3 (negative) or +3 (positive) will cause premature/uneven tire wear. Now all these show cars you see and enthusiasts in the streets couldnt care less because they are more worried about the look and are dedicated to their cars so they dont mind going threw tires more often than they should be. Getting the "stance" that the OP is looking for takes a lot of work (the right suspension, tire, wheel, camber kit, fender/quarter panel roll etc etc) so i would just stay away from that whole look unless you are trying to take it all the way and do it right.

What he is trying to tell you is that camber really doesn't wear THAT much faster.. Toe is usually the reason people get bad tire wear.

Ones with soft sidewalls? Like Falken, General, Nexen, etc.

Just go on "stance" sites such as canibeat and stancenation, and see what the featured cars use.

How would you know what tires would stretch?

There's no such thing as "soft sidewalls" all tire sidewalls are the same except for the size (profile). It has to be the right wheel/tire combo but the concept in general is to match a wide wheel with a low profile tire that has a small width so it stretches at the lip. It looks awesome if done right specially with authentic name brand wheels.

There are some pictures over at v6p which clearly show different tire brands, same size tire, and wheel that show how some tires stretch more than others . You can probably just Google it and the topic will appear on many forums.

V6performance.net has a ton more info on stance and hellaflush
