Just realized you're in ontario. If you haven't opened the Prestone bottle yet...i'd say head to your local walmart and pick up the big bottle of valvoline. You can confirm as well when in store but last i checked its wet/dry boiling point was higher than prestone I think.

Not a big deal but since you're doing it, why not.

Going to post here instead of creating a new thread. I was doing the rear rotors, and the screws stripped on the rotor. What can I do to get them out? Also where can I get some new ones?

If they're unnecessary then I won't be replacing them. God damn I'm not liking the idea of drilling them though

Red, which bits did you end up using to drill them out?

I bought a set of Titanium high speed DeWalt bits from Home D-pot.

I used a touch of motor oil to help with the temp when drilling.

The metal is so soft on those screws.. my impact gun with a bit on it nearly took the thing off. Im sure my drill will have no problem going through it. I was just wondering what size drill bit you used? I matched one up just eyeballing it, forgot what size bit it was though so ill update tomorrow.

However since you have succesfully done it already, which bit did you use?

Drilled it off today. Car still sits on stands and tomorrow day 3 of this **** hole begins.

Now the issue is with bleeding. The damn system wont bleed. Ive repeated the open/pump/close procedure over 100 (No joke, over 100) times with very little fluid coming out and absolutely no change in fluid level in the resevoir.

I dont get it. First I hooked up the tube to the bleeder valve (its about 9mm diamater I think, could this be the issue? Could it be sucking air around where the tube connects?

I then pumped the pedal probably like 30 times. Opened the valve, almost nothing came out. It seems like more of it comes out when I just close the valve, open it and pump once then close.

Could it be intaking air that is inside of the tube I connected to the bleeder valve? If i fill the tube with brake fluid prior to connecting it would that help?

Guys I am really lost and bothered to hell as my DD sits on stands for the 3rd day. HELP!:wtf1:

You do understand you don't just pump the pedal and let go right...and that the car should not be running.
You have to keep pressure on the pedal as the bleeder is open and fluid will squirt out...hence why you need two people. Read what I posted before in terms of how to do it. You pump till hard then hold as another person opens bleeder. You keep holding until bleeder is closed then repeat.

By what you've been doing you've put more air in your system then you ever had before. Do not drive it until you properly bleed the system please.

Yeah the pedal should be depressed from the last pump while you're closing the bleeder valve.

If you are doing it yourself, it is possible but its a hassle and makes a bit of a mess. When I did mine I would pump my pedal several times, then hold the pedal in while I put my long snowscraper between the pedal and the seat which I'd move forward via the switch. Then I'd get out and close the valve. I repeated that a few times per corner. It sucked, but worked out. However if you don't have a power driver seat, that won't work.

Of course I know all of this, I read up intensively before this. And the correct procedure has been followed, but I still have this issue. Some wheels pump out air and never liquid, some pump out liquid (Removed about half a water-bottle so far).

The resevoir has not seen any change in level, still at the max fill line.

Why is this happening? I cant bleed them for some reason, no matter how many times the process is repeated. We think its an air bubble bouncing back and forth in the system, going to bleed rear wheels see if there is a change
