Um.....Spacers are only needed to get the desired offset that your wheels don't already have. So, you may or may not need spacers, depending on your offset. Tire size and rim size are only correlated if you use the "standard" tire size to rim size most people use. You want to push it.

There is a reason why many people keep their tire size/offset/camber/drop/etc secret. They either went through alot of time, sets of rims, etc, to get the look, or they went to a wheel shop that really knew what was up (they arn't usually very cheap, much less affordable). If you want to push it, you have some leg work, plain and simple.

i dont think the accord wheel well can support any tire higher than 235.... especially with out a camber kit... i had 235's on the rear and i did not wanna move with out ripping off my bumper... 225's are a must when u do tires higher than 8inch wide with basic fender rolling modification

it's an accord, the tire size isn't the important thing, its the offset and ride height that you want, our cars arent like a muscle car where tire width is king.

I also want something bigger than 225/40. I'm thinking if we reduce sidewall hight we can can squeeze in another size up. BF G. T/A come in 235/35/18, I'm really considering these ones but they are over $200 a pop and apparently very noisy. I am however confident that these are doable with some minor modifications. 245/35/18 would be ideal, price drops a lot going to this size, and there are a lot more choices. For reference I have 18x8 wheels with +45 offset. I have no rubbing issues right now on a 2.5 drop so that's promising.

I think Keith (keychain) has the most agressive fitment around here other than sakuradrops.

17x9 +35 on a 215/45 tire.

It's so odd, this site is so into stretching skinny *** tires, never mind the op specifically asks about the widest 'tire'.
