Whatever is throwing the CEL is most likely your culprit. Get a OBDII scanner and scan it.

get the code its throwing.. google it and / or search on here for what it is.

but it sounds like it my be related to oil pressure and the vtec solenoid.

it was low oil... I just changed the oil a week ago... it don't smoke hardly at all.. nd I'm not leaking.. where could my oil be goin??

may sound stupid, but check the back of the valve cover. my gasket was leaking out the back.. bad. had no clue. oil just made a mess of the back of the head and sat on my intake manifold.only saw it when i took my valve cover off.

im having the same issue wont go over 4000 rpm , also when im driving feels sluggish feels like no power when pedal floored all the way...!!!!

My car did this for a while on and off. I had bad valve seals so I was burning oil like crazy. Killed my catalytic converter, ended up replacing the motor
