Yellow headlights legal?

Just wondering if putting 3k hid in your headlights legal or not?
I kno some of europes vehicles have yellow fogs and headlights.
just wondering if i can do the same in Texas

I dont about texas but it seems just fine in illinois, plenty of people have em here. Illinois laws are one of the strictest in the country, i think you'd be fine.

p.s. i've even seen a dodge caravan with em!

Well, I think you should also be concerned about "Are HIDs in your headlight legal?" That is definitely a gray area. And if these are in your OEM headlights and it is causing mega glare, well I think chances that a cop stops you is higher and probably more so if your lights are yellow because they draw more attention than white lights.

With a proper retrofit and properly aligned lights, then you stand a better chance.

Just IMHO.

check your states vehicle code book, in cali anything from the white to yellow spectrum is legal

I had a set of yellow bulbs on last summer and got harrassed by the police in NY so I changed to the white output and haven't gotten pulled over yet (crosses fingers). I didn't even check to see the laws against it but you should check to be on the safe side.

in ct the cops can be a pain in the @$$. i've seen a few civics with them but havent talked to the owners. i put 6000ks for head and driving lights and it seams to be ok.
