I'll get an update on here soon. Having some wiring issues at the moment.
Hey man, I've just read through your entire thread and am looking forward to the first start =) I just have some questions.

Is there any way to swap over the ecu from the R33? Any way to keep the ole Z ecu? Reason I ask is because a local in my area is selling a half swapped Z, for a very modest price . . . I have to ask him how much has been done so far, but he mentioned that the mounts, exhaust and some wiring needs to be done. Engine's already sitting in the car lol. Now, for the swap, I have gathered from your knowledge that the cross member needs modification, oil pan needs modification(unless the rb25/custom one is used), and the exhaust manifold modification to clear the steering rack . . . Am I missing anything? Anything I should look out for?

If all goes well, I may be in posession of a 300ZX soon, a hardtop 2+0 to be specific. . . yay:D

For the VG30DETT you need the VG30DETT ECU. R33 ECU for the RB26DETT will also work on R32 RB26DETT's.

Yes, crossmember needs to be notched, RB25 oil pan (or custom), and exhaust manifold for clearance. You will have to make your own p/s lines, radiator, FMIC, and IC piping.

UPDATE: Since I haven't had time to finish it, I dropped my Z off to Alamo Autosports in Arlington, and they are finishing the swap for me. This house is taking up ALL of my time (what little free time I have). Updates to come.

I'll get on there..

Sorry guys I haven't had time for an update. I'll post up more here shortly. It should be running within a week or two. Power steering lines and radiator hoses/lines, a few fuel/oil lines, and then cleaning everything up.
