Lost my wheel lock key

After taking off the wheels I must have driven off without realizing the key was still on one of the locks. I'm going to call a wheel and tire place I know tomorrow and see what they say. They're probably just going to say I'm an idiot, but w/e these things happen. Perhaps they'll give me excellent advice and everything will work out. I'm going to try to get a hold of the company's customer service, but seeing as they seem to be a Japanese company...thats probably not going to go well.

Does anybody have suggestions? I'm pulling straws here with ideas because I'm not in the mood to have my wheels scratched trying to take these off. I'm so angry at myself for screwing something like this up. My friend that works at a Ford dealership gave me the advice of "well, those are never coming off unless you cut the wheels off or want to scratch the crap out of them" so naturally I'm kind of upset about this. I've been looking on google the better part of the night about this situation and most cases are either factory wheel locks where they have a master key and that solves everything or people honestly mess up their wheels taking off aftermarket ones. How encouraging...

I heard les schwab has a nice collection of wheel locks. Try them, my friend had a similar issue....But I dont think u have one of them in virginia. Call local tire shops, some of them practically collect those things. And no, whoever said u would have to cut ur wheels off is ridiculous advice.

your screwed just kidding most tire places such as discount tire if its availible in your area cary those master keys to those locks

I know my lug nuts comes with a serial number so if you do lose the key you can call them up and get a replacement

Either you can get a replacement lock from manufacturer if you have the serial number (like Mojeans said) or any tire place can get your lugs off, but they will be ruined. You will need new lugs in that case afterwards.

I was thinking the same thing, I have the original case the locks came in and even though they're a Japanese company, they have a U.S. distributor located in CA (http://www.kyoei-ind.co.jp/sangyo/company_profile.html) so I'm going to give them a call when I get a chance.

If only the locks get ruined that would be fine by me. As long as my wheels aren't damaged or you can't notice the damage....then I'll be happy. Since only one of them is the lock the other lugs won't need to be touched. I'm still going to use the same brand of locks (I have a second set) because they have about a thousand combinations for keys since they have multiple threads like a clock gear, so thieves have no chance. I'm still going to just try to get a replacement key from KYO-EI but if that doesn't work I'll get them off through other means.

I'm just lucky that two of my friends are a service manager and a shop mechanic at Tiresplus, I'm not sure if I'd trust other people even if I told them to be careful.
