Retard Timing for Boosted V6?

Ok so for those who dont know I'm running a 2002 V6 under 10psi boost. I was talking to my shop who did the work as they were checking over everything making sure the car was still holding up. I was told that if I am running over 5psi that i need to retard my timing. I did not think that was neccesary under 10psi, but I'm no expert when it comes to those sort of technical issues. So heres my question...

1. Do I need to retard my timing if I'm running only 10 psi?

2. If so does anyone know if the VAFC will do that because I'm pretty sure the SAFC does?

3. If not what is an inexpensive way to do this, other than something like E-manage or a Hondata ECU? Does MSD make something I can use to retard my timing?

I will research as much as I can but if any light could be shed on this subject that would be a tremendous help.

ya MSD: BTM...about 250$+ depending on where you look.

Adjustable cam gear(s) will aloow you to retard/advance timing... I think 5* in each direction.

I thought so but I'm pretty sure those are in the range of 4-6 hundred no?
I would like to not spend more then $300 if possible.

Dude uneccesary bro at least I got the balls to ask when i dont know something. I dont talk out my *** about what i dont know so i ask...

Anyway not to be a post whore but i just found this on ebay:

It is the MSD Boost Timing Master, however I have not seen these anywhere that hook up to your stock ingintion, all the ones I have seen you need the MSD Ignition Box.

Does anyone know if this is a legit product? Seems like it may be sketch to me.

Ok first thing, its not a bad thing to ask about something you don't know but the thing is, boosting is a very serious matter! when you are out on the road, God forbid something went wrong just because you didn't do enough research or have to know how and end up causing an accident, then what?
You know what, never mind that too. Why can your shop not answer this question for you? or your tuner? or is the car not tuned at all?

Yes, tuned. Shop will answer with some research but i figure i might as well too. Just becuase I do not know about Ignition Timing does not mean I dont know about my own car. But I'm not here to spend time BSing. I'm here to get some answers

the v6's is 10 btdc stock. thats fine. are you knocking? do you have high egts? I would take your car somewhere else if they cant determine what you need.
