hahaha, x2.

you wont gain anything your not already missing by going to 7500rpm....especially on a daily basis :ugh:

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. The cam I have will move the powerband up in that range, and that's right out of Bisi's mouth. He said he wouldn't be surprised if it made power to 8k with the right intake and exhaust. Don't forget how many G23 builds are revving up there already, most don't have near the bottom end this will have. Also, a stock H22 head doesn't have anything on this well ported F23. Impressive F23 dyno sheets aren't abundant simply because there are no off the shelf headers, pistons, cams etc. available and few people are as patient or possibly crazy as myself NASOHC and AFACCORD have been.

And why not build up an all motor engine to hit well over 200hp and damn near 200lb/ft? That would be much much greater to me paired with the short geared M2A4 in my garage than a 300hp turbo F23. Way more fun to drive too (subjective i know). And of course bragging rights admittedly will be the icing......

having more HP does not always mean faster. NA has advantages over turbo, one being its more reliable, two the powerbands are usually way more smooth and consistent.

The F23 still has a ****ty rod/stroke ratio. I know a guy that takes his stock (turbo'd) to 8k when drag racing in his civic but...I wouldn't do it on a daily basis, even with a built bottom end. The geometry just isn't there to be able to handle high revving on a continual basis. If it's still making power or continues to make power up that high, fine, but I'd be happier knowing I had a good powerband to take advantage of rather than how high it revs.

Oh, and fixed.

comparing a built f23 against a stock h22 swapped accord is well  ... in the end whatever you do to a f23, the same done to a h22 will result in h22>f23

Making equal or greater power from a SOHC 2.3L than a swapped Twin Cam 2.2L = Priceless! 3 reasons why:

1. No swap & additional parts required
2. Single Cam!
3. Bragging rights.

My 2 cents. Sure it takes $$$ but oh, well - someone has to try it.
