My knock sensor is causing the check engine light to go on. It ripped off of the block and it has a metal thing that sticks out and the connection is still connected. Can I just use some sticky stuff to place it back together?

That happened on my KS too, and I managed to glue it back together. BUT Im currently running a p28 ecu, which doesnt use a KS, so I dont know how effective gluing it back together was.

Sucks it broke, but they break all the time. And Honda rapes you on the price too. Id say glue it and see if it works. If not, then it would need to be replaced any way.

I bet the car is a dog with the KS code being on. It will run the lowest timing possible, which translates to no power.

Just replace the whole sensor, don't just ghetto rig it. LOL I am also running the p28 in OBD1, so knock sensor doesnt apply to my setup, but when I was tapping the oil line to my block, I also broke the sensor off accidentally, and was very worried until I found out that OBD1 doesn't account for a knock sensor :hihi:.

Good luck, just replace the part don't rig it.

Get a Honda one, not some aftermarket piece of ****. These are things that happen when you own a car... paying once for OEM is almost always less than buying the aftermarket twice.
