I swapped a h22 in my accord.... you do need clearance especially with the intake manifold.... well maybe because i put a skunk2 intake manifold...

some of the mods i did was sk2 stage 2 cams, sk2 valves springs and retainers, but i grab a h23 block and put a h22 head on it... adding h22 type s pistons made a huge difference....

I went from 9.3:1 cr to 11.1:1 cr, (more compression equal more power!!!!)

i ran on the dyno twice with a chipped p28 on a hondata s300 and did 239whp with 176ft tq.... hope this helps...

Damn! That sounds like a bad *** build. Where did you go to get it tuned?

Do you have it saved somewhere? I can't even access the site beyond the main page when you log in.

I can go everywhere on the site still. What would I need to do to save it? Is there a way to save it vb format to repost the whole thread here?

Or am I really going to have to go into every post and repost it here?

my 6th gen is swapped id be glad to help you just post your questions in this thread and ill try my best to help you

Well as you know Im going to do the h22 swap. The thing is my dad and I are going to rebuild the engine(when I get it) and instead of putting stock parts back in I wanted to upgrade to aftermarket. Here's the list I got and what these companies are claiming for gains:

Skunk2 Intake Manifold 10-18hp/10tq
AEM V2 Intake 18hp
DC Sports Header 8-12hp
Greddy Evo2 Exhaust 5-10hp
AEM Tru Time Gears Silver 5hp
Skunk2 Camshafts Pro Series 1 20hp/15tq
Unorthodox Racing pulley kit 9-13hp
Hondata HeatShield Gasket 4-5%hp

Add it all up and you get a unrealistic 106hp/25tq gain. Showed this to a few guys down here and they say it looks like a good setup. One of them mentioned that I should ask some guys that have done this swap and see what has worked for them. Any advice is more then welcome.

Disregard all claimed hp numbers unless you get a tune. And you should skip the pulley and mani gaskets, they dont work. Also, unless you plan on actually degreeing the cams, you can skip the cam gears too.

So Drift about the pulleys and manifold gaskets is it you wont notice a difference with that setup? and what about camshafts I should get a little bit of power out of them right?
As for tuning as far as I've heard no one within like 4-500k does tuning for imports. It really sucks @ss

Both the pulley and the gaskets will net you zero on the dyno, we've tested them. Also, those light weight pulleys tend to stress the oil pump due to uneven reciprocating pulses and can cause an oil pump failure, which in turn, leads to an engine failure. If you really want a pulley, get a Fluidamper, those actually work. However, to get the most out of them, you need to get the engine balanced as its built. A machine shop can do this.

Cam shafts will make power. In fact, I just got a set of the Skunk2 Pro 1 cams and am going to install them as soon as I get some bigger injectors. (I think I'm close to maxing mine out at the moment.) Big cams make better power when they are degreed correctly with adjustable cam gears. But gains can still be made as a bolt-on product.

I just searched your location, that's rough man. Tuning is the most important part of the build. You gotta figure something out. You might have to make a trip down to WA. I think there are a few places around Seattle.
