So my check engine light comes up and the error code that comes up was 1259... I have no clue how to fix it... also my car feels like it has lost power im guessing cuz 1259 error code has something to do with the vtec. My boy at a local shop told me that it could be the vtec solenoid. I replaced it and now the check engine light is off but now I can go over 400rpm or past 85mph. does anyone have any idea what could be wrong??

Your "Whispering Eye"
go to the search feature and search for the error code, should be some information. call the dealership and they may be able to tell you what is going on. Sounds like your boy isn't too much help

i saw couple of other threads on other forums, they said it is related to vtec system, it could be the soleniod, sensor or the screen.

If your oil is low, you cant rev past 4K RPM's
It's a safe more because VTEC requires ample oil.
It also depends upon load * RPM's

I would say check your oil level and make sure it's up to par.
THen reset the ecu to remove the stored code.

There are quite a few threads here on how to do each of those.
There are threads in TECH section on how to Check the CEL codes and how to clear your CEL after the problem is fixed
