it doesnt seem too hard... besides wiring in the paddle shifters, its mostly just loading in the programming...

it would be kinda fun on the auto tranny because i hate the auto shift points... they suck... it shifts at like 2k rpms during regular driving... down side is that last gear the Torque lock up thats pretty much 65mph and beyond... also it doesnt say in that other 240sx forum if you can switch back to auto if u ever get annoyed with the paddle shifters

My is300 has Eshift on the steering wheel and its pretty responsive. The shifts are crisp and fast, nothing like a tiptronic transmission.

Yup. We had this gem at the shop recently.

How did you find your initial take off in it, it's not like a normal automatic type transmission where it takes off the instant you let off the brakes right?

With $$$$, anything is possible. Get a nwer RDX drivetrain (motor w/turbo, trans, modules, steering w/paddles and wiring) - make some custom mods to chassis and mounts, and call it a day! :D

i just realized after talkin to a friend about this thread... dont ever try this on an accord because our automatics have 4 gears... THAT SUCKS!!! by the time you reach 60, you are in 4th gear and then there is nothing after that... the DSG system would cut out anything after that 4th gear... im sure 4th gear goes pretty high, maybe 100 but it would suck to waste money to only redline in 4th at 100mph

Huh? :eh:

My old 95 Accord hit 115 @ 4250 rpm and hit a fuel cut, I'm sure the 6th gens are similar, minus the fuel cut(?).

The OP has a manual, she just wants a servo-shifted manual with paddle shifters (DSG), not a manumatic.

OP, you could get a J32 and auto trans from an 02-03 TL type S. Has sport shifting like your moms infinity. Only thing is that you could potentially, more than likely, end up with a sh!tty tranny. But it would be what you're looking for.
