whats so bad about bosch spark plugs?

so basically i bought a set of bosch platinum +4 from Autozone a while back.
i installed them and they were fine and i told my dad about it, who was a mechanic,
and he told me that the bosch ones were BAD for the car. and that I could only put NGK or Denso spark plugs. ( now i am running on NGK iridiums)
anyone knows why this is?

No clue. I ran bosch platinum +4's for 2.5 years before I boosted and needed to change plugs, no problems with them ever! However, not sure why people here don't like them. They work fine.

i ran my for only like 6 months i think. but i was thinking of going back to bosch +4 but the iridium ones and i was thinking of knowing if there was anything wrong with them.. before i jump on it

Youre dad is a smart man. Bosch spark plugs suck. They often dont work, or dont given the proper ignition that they are supposed too. And, as expensive as they are, they truely arent worth it.

We only use NGK at my shop from everything from 130whp civics to 600whp EVO's. NGK or Denso are the only way to go.

marketing...to make money. oem ngk's are like $2 each...wouldn't you rather sell someone plugs that cost $20 each if you were a manufacturer?

think of how many **** products are out there, beyond the realm of spark plugs...

The only good things that I've seen Bosch make are racing fuel pumps and Motorsports ABS computers.

i didnt hear that they were crap, i heard that the platinum 3 or 4 or what ever with the multiple spokes arent recommended for our car. i heard they work well for larger engines or small engines with turbo applications but for our small NA engines, it throws out TOO much of a spark or something that makes us lose gas milage

EDIT: OK here we go, reviews on honda NA motors said techs found evidence of high temperatures in the cylinders which then caused plugs to foul

so i think i should stick to the NGK's and Denso's. since it is made for our cars.
my dad also told me that bosch are like meant for Euro vehicles
