here's a fun thought (and rationale behind my latest build)...

300 watts, different amps but same power at 4 ohms.

went from a:
10" with 84dB sensitivity, 314 sq cm Sd, .7 cu ft box

to a:
15" with 90dB sensitivity, 825 sq cm Sd, 14 cu ft box

now that's the kind of math i like to hear (and feel ) in my car

I saw a 2G TL the other day, the had swapped out the stock sub in the rear deck and put in a 12". I was REAL curious to hear how that sounded, because it was a ghetto install.

ha...yeah, WinISD is a good starting point, especially since sedans have the same cabin gain...well basically at least.

i'd be curious to hear it, as well. my install is ghetto looking though i used the proper sub for IB...wonder if they did...

It's an alright sub. For the power I gave it, it pounded pretty good. Just wanted to go louder though . I still use a 12" LI in my other car.

Well from my setups, i'm into spl for my cars.

But realistically, I'm very into sq as well- i'm also a frequenter of headphone and home theater forums. Hence iv'e got some decent components up front in my car and usually have the sub turned down unless i'm trying to showoff or something, you know
