Everybody I have talked to said 7 years for a yellowtop is really long. So I guess I should be happy it lasted that long. I had to jump it twice today. Once to get a replacement, and once to get home because I couldn't get the old one off. (Bolts were stripped)

Anywho I just got a Duralast Gold battery I think it was called. I didn't feel the need to get a new yellowtop because I don't think I will have the car long enough to justify it.

Haha well I hope I don't have this car for the lifetime of another battery. So I didn't want to spend 200 bucks on a yellowtop just to have the car for 2 years or something.

even the crappiest, cheapest batteries last 5 years on average (i consider myself a fairly rough user of batteries :lawl:) and when the battery that came with the car died, i pulled it out and stuck to the side was the receipt from walmart...5 years almost to the day.

stick a $45 battery in there, and if it lasts 5 years, thats good enough for me. heck i can't really be mad if it lasts 2. doesn't look cool...oh well.

as an aside...my cheap store brand battery is made in wisconsin by the same people who make optimas, though these are just the regular lead cell type.

Well I get no blinking lights of any sort with my yellow top, so I'm happy. And my voltage seems to stay pretty constant.

With my old autozone battery, the everlast yellow top or whatever, my lights blinked like crazy while playing my music. Maybe I'll just get a shuriken or a kinetik next time. Haha

Plus these battery have 4 year warranty on them ao the warranty renews everytime I get a replacment. Lol

In my discussions with Ry Ry, I was telling him about my YT issues, but if I have to replace these batteries again, I think I would go with Kinetik's.
