thats exactly what im sayn, bass is over powering, but i still need good mids and highs
thought about adding tweets and new 6.5 and 6x9s
got another question i have a sony receiver(does the job)
i figured the receiver can handle the front 6.5 but shld i get a small amp for 6x9s
or just go ahead and get a 4 channel for all 4
Actually its the other way around, the front speakers are the important ones so those are the ones you want to power with an amp instead of the rears. Dont rely on the head unit to power the front speakers you'll be dissapointed because the head unit is simply not strong enough much less with a sony head unit which is a pretty cheap head unit no offense (but yes it does get the job done lol). Oh and dont worry about 6x9's at all just get a good set of components for the front doors and you'll barely even hear the rear speakers it would be a waste of money to replace them unless you have a pair thats better than stock laying around.
