All the tein whether basic or ss, are only made to adjust height by lowering or raising the spring perch. The lower you go the more shock travel you loose hence they're not meant to slam anything. None of them have separate spring perches and height adjustment even the new street basis ones.

OP, maybe go for FF1s through Ken...or wait it out a bit longer and see if FF will have another somewhat of a sale price on them again. I know weaksauceparts had a sale on them around December last year. http://www.weaksauceparts.com/store/home.php?cat=461

Thanks Stunna, I might just jump on the Type1's, but through a friend of mine because he has a connect where I can get it cheaper than Ken's price. I'm deciding on whether or not I should cough up another couple hundred for some Ksports or even the Koni/GC combo. Thing is, I don't do any aggressive driving or canyon runs, so I figured some Type1's or the EZ Streets will fit my needs nicely and be able to lower my car 3"+.

Would you say it's not worth it, under my circumstances, to pay $800+ for some Type 2s, KSports, D2, Koni/GC then?

Nice. You'll be fine. I'm max'd out on my SS and my rears are going out/blown. I bottom out once in a while on the freeway but I can pretty much still go a lot of places without worrying too much about bottoming out.

Looking at your signature, you won't be close to being that low but it's still a decent drop on 17's.

for slammage, i wouldnt go with teins. You wont get slammed. Had my type 2's for a while and they were great, had em on the stiffest setting cause i was slammed and i loved it. wasnt too bouncy nor soft.

I think the type 1's are already Davis, but i would personally save up and wait for the type 2s or 2.5.

on the sidenote, i heard that megan has been stepping up their game and been producing some quality stuff lately.

thats my .02cents
