That def helps thanks a lot man! I knew it had to be something like that, but wasn't sure since it was covered by the paneling.

Yes, I will post it when I go back to my car I'll write the brand name and also part number.

sweet bro thanks! also if its not too much trouble maybe a little video from your phone to show it in action? im thinking about doing it with my car but leaving the torsion springs in there. it will come up fast but it will also dampen i think.. lol

also maybe a price you paid?

thanks!

The trunk doesn't open on its own you still have to help the lifter a bit. The trunk is very heavy! The only way the trunk would open on its own will be if you have the OEM bars and put the lifters(it will probably shoot up). This is when finding the right lifter comes to play. If you would have a trunk release button on your alarm then it would open up like newer cars. The purpose of the lifer is just to keep my trunk up. As I dont have to hold it with a stick as I use to do. The trunk is still heavy at first but a quarter up the trunk goes up on its own. I will post up a video so you guys can get a better idea of it

I have the OEM bars. If i do this my trunk will open on its own? (i have a trunk release) when i use the trunk release, it just sorta pops but barley opens.

Yes, It should go up on its own there is other ways you can mount it, The way i was orginally going to do it was the shock starting from the under my deck to the arm on the trunk but my speaker got in the way if you have regular 6x9 you can make this work and will look cleaner and trunk might even open a bit more better who knows.

I should have a video tomorrow been swamped with school and work:boohoo:

I would also like to see a video clip... I have spare hood lifts laying around and wouldn't mind fiddling with them for fun.
