What'd you do to your accord today?

Ebay quickly fell through after being outbid by a boatload. Found a polisher on amazon that seems to be about the same quality for half the price and got it with the pads for less than the Makita I was looking at before. :) PS; rotary polishers > DA polishers all day and night. :D

What'd you do to your accord today?

Ordered some weather tech front mats as I bought the car without front mats and the stock rear mats are in pretty good condition. Also put a bid on a rotary polisher on ebay ... been detailing cars for far too long without having my own tools at home to spruce up what I have. :D

    Bax's 1999 5mt CG5

Re: »Updated 5-14-12» TheBax's FBP 1999 Sedan 5MT Perfectly safe actually. If you're afraid that your wiring will be damaged, give it half an hour to dry off. You can claybar and/or wax it in the mean time. Engines and the stock wiring are built to be water resistant unless you suck up a...

What Should i Do to my Accord

Ah, nooblets ... now I remember why I don't usually subscribe to forums. Its because of egotistical folk like yourself who rely on others they acquaint with to bolster their position in their own small world. You ought to think about what you say to others, you might find that some of those...

I used goof off to take off the glue from tint on a window, literally took a razor blade and pushed it to the edge of the window. :) Also removing the residue from the Accord sticker that had been taken off previously of my deck lid. 3M stuff is usually pretty good though pricey ... Carmax(where...

    JDM license plates???

I screwed the license plate into the right side of the bumper of my old Accord after I shattered the center of the front bumper. It was JDM style. :D

What'd you do to your accord today?

True that! Even registering a car from out of state, all you have to do in Nebraska is have a sheriff look at the VIN of your car and check the odometer with the title and you're off. :D Also, for residue removal, look for some stuff called goof off at the hardware store ... turns any...

    Clicking? **pg. 3**

Re: Clicking? CV joint would be my guess, one of my first cars back when I was younger was doing the same thing. The boot had torn and most of the grease had come out, causing it to make a clicking sound.

What'd you do to your accord today?

Had them on my old '99 accord before getting my current '00. Wreck I had been in had broken the housings on the factory headlights, so I bought these to replace the factory ones. Just finally took the time to put them in this accord.

    Horn issue

Multiplex is a good size white or blue box that is connected with the fuse box on the driver side. OEM multiplexes are white, others are blue, and its not uncommon for them to go out. Problem is trying to find one. From Honda, they're fairly expensive. Also around my area, most have been taken...

Figured I do this for a living, so I'd pitch in my .02 ... 1. Scenario - scratch removal 2. Tools/Machines requires - Depending on the depth of the scratch; Always wash the vehicle and clar bar the area you are about to work on to remove tar, sap, etc, even if it isn't apparently visible...

    Horn issue

Yeah, multimeter and check for power at the horn and the fuse block for the two easiest spots. Then work around that. Also look for a bad ground, if they worked for a bit, you may have a loose wire in there somewhere.

Try a clay bar next time? A lot faster, and should be done before using any sort of rubbing or polishing compound anyway. :)
