    Oil Consumption - Fixed????

Hey guys I made a thread about oil burning, which I have been trying to overcome ever since I bought my car. It is the first time yet, that I have managed to reduce the oil consumption, to what you call "normal". With 315k on the clock, a litre every oil change is great (for accords, imo)...

    Temp Gauge Issue

My needle does something similar, except it is all the way at the bottom, even when the engine is hot. Once I knock on the dash, it starts moving to the middle. It usually stays there for a while, and randomly goes back down to cold. I've hooked up an OBD to my car, and the temperature sensor is...

    Catlytic Converter

As far as I know, only the first (Bank0) 02 sensor has to do with fuel consumption. The car uses it to determine the A/F ratio. The second one is there to see if the catalytic is functioning properly. If you want a cheap and easy fix, get sparkplug nonfoulers (in Canada they have them in Car...

    High Mileage 6th Gens

I've got about 200k miles (310+km) on my Accord 5spd mt. Burns oil, but gas consumption is amazing and runs good. Smoothest ride in a 15 year old car with the mileage I've been in. :party52:

    TL Seats in Accord DIY?

I have memory TL ones. My accord was stock cloth, no heating, nothing. The only connector my car has is the seatbelt connector. I already butchered through the harness, and directly wired the slide motor, and recline just so I could put it in my car. If you have the harness print out, that would...

    5W20 or 5W30 for F23A1 ??

I have a couple of friends who are mechanics, and one of the specializes in Hondas. If your car does not burn oil, and you want to give it the best, look into ENEOS - Synthetic Engine Oil 0W50 (best for very cold and very high temperatures). It is the most popular oil in Japan.

    TL Seats in Accord DIY?

I have PM'd him, however it appears that its been almost a month since his last log in. I took apart the connectors, and there isn't much to be found. The connections go into the module, and there is no internal schematics or even pinout of the module. I have a copy of the 01-03 TL Service...

    TL Seats in Accord DIY?

I took out my drivers seat, and I put the TL one in, the 2 front bolts matched up, and the rears looked like they would. I didn't go as far as bolting it all down yet, because It was raining out and I wanted to have a quick check before I started working on the wiring. I'm going to be in for a...

    TL Seats in Accord DIY?

Just a quick update, I have figured out all the motor movements. Tomorrow I will take apart the harness and see if I can figure out how to wire it based on the motor movements so it remains stock. Worst case scenario, I will have to manually solder and power each motor movement to the side...

    RR's '99 coupe EX-L

Re: RR's 3.2L '99 EX-L Coupe 6MT The amount of work, time, effort and perfection put into this car is beyond words. Coming from owning a lot of different cars and tinkering with them, hats off to you sir for all your great work. Keep it up!

    TL Seats in Accord DIY?

I'm aware where it connects, as I removed it from the TL in the scrap yard, however I cannot find what wires are for what, and I'm going to bet that there is a separate module that I would need if I was going for the complete stock install. I am not interested in the memory function at all, and...

    TL Seats in Accord DIY?

Yeah, I noticed after I already got the seats. I'm not sure if they are the same seats, but I'm pretty sure the wiring is not the same. I have been searching for 2-3 days now, I have not found any information about anyone doing it with TL seats on non-power accord. I just took off the seat...

    TL Seats in Accord DIY?

I just picked up front seats for my Accord, off a TL (2001-2003, not sure which one). My Accord had the stock cloth, non power seats. As everyone knows the TL has the electric power seats with memory function, heated seats and the side airbags. I have looked for a DIY but I cannot find a...

    Engine Burning Oil (New)

I have yet to try synthetic oil, or even a blend. Always have used regular. My oil change is coming up and it wouldn't hurt to try synthetic. As the colder weather comes closer I will either put 10w40 or 0w40. I have run seafoam numerous times, mainly in the crankcase and vacuum slowly before...

    Engine Burning Oil (New)

I thought bad valve seals typically exhibit their failure through a blue cloud of smoke(burnt oil) upon the start-up of your engine, valve seals will cause smoke at idle and other high vacuum situations but not smoke at full throttle...Not too sure, just what i have read... Upon oil change it...

    Engine Burning Oil (New)

Hello there, I've been around these forums for a while, just haven't had time to sit down and do a formal registration. I have read endless threads about oil burning, but I think I have a different situation. I bought my 99 accord 4 cyl 5mt with 270,000km (165k miles) almost a year ago. I...

Whats your MPG on a full tank?

I'm pretty surprised to see these numbers, with stock rims and Michelin tires (Primacy MXV4) I believe, the best I ever got was 910km(570 miles) on a tank. Around 50km in city and the rest were all highway km's on a road trip. The fuel tank is around 62 liters..Gives about 6.8l/100km almost all...
