    Fingerprint Start, Immobilizer Help

Sorry the structure of my post is a bit of a mess, but basically what I'm trying to say is I've gathered a lot of information and I'm 99% this is fundamentally possible with the information I have here, but I'm just not quite smart enough to put it all together and figure it out, please help lol

    Fingerprint Start, Immobilizer Help

Any electrical gurus that might be able to help me with a Raspberry Pi controlled immobilizer bypass? (Raspberry Pi's use 3.3 Volt logic to control things, which I can link to relay modules capable of manipulating the 12 Volt systems in our car.) I have been integrating my Accords features...

    Aftermarket stereo resetting on startup

I tested the yellow wire with a multimeter and it stays consistently in the ~12V range, fluctuates maybe 2Vs max up or down.

    Aftermarket stereo resetting on startup

I am having a strange issue with my aftermarket stereo, was hoping someone here could help me diagnose the problem. I installed the stereo about a year or two ago (edit: stereo is a Kenwood DDX9702S), and I'm confident it is wired correctly because it used to work fine in the past. Recently I...

    USB Flush mount wiring help

Hey guys, I'm starting a little project here and would love if someone with more wiring knowledge than myself could look this over and tell me if everything looks correct. The goal is to replace the stock power socket beneath the stereo with a fixed USB panel mount with two USB charging...

    Please Advise, Reguarding Dealership Service

Thanks for the replies everyone, this is a great board. Honestly, I never got a quote for the hours. I took my car in right before I had to drive down to LA from Sacramento for work and said I wanted a major service. I knew when he gave me the price it was pretty high but I wasn't sure just...

    Please Advise, Reguarding Dealership Service

Hello everyone, I just took my 2001 Accord LX (Sedan) to my local Honda dealership. I went in to get a quote on some work that they recommended I should get done the last time I brought my car in. Basically they are trying to rule out causes of an oil leak, and recommended changing the "Oil...

    Low Idle after wiring upgrade

Well I think I found the problem for the idle issues, my engine grounds were poorly sanded. You called it ryan_s. I used 220 grit sandpaper (which is all I had around) and did it by hand, I couldn't really tell if I was seeing bare metal or not. I busted out a wire brush drill bit and power...

    Low Idle after wiring upgrade

Terminals Battery (+) Battery (-) to chassis Block to chassis Thank you for all the suggestions ryan_s and everyone, I'm gonna measure the resistance when I have a chance to see if it looks alright. The car still seems to be running good today.

    Low Idle after wiring upgrade

These are the terminals I'm using. I'm not exactly sure what to do with the multimeter, where do I put the red/black contacts and what numbers are considered "normal"? I am doing this upgrade because I had been running my sound system on the stock wiring. I have a 400 watt 4 channel Alpine amp...

    Low Idle after wiring upgrade

Well, I just redid the ring terminal where the battery to chassis ground is, this time I soldered it to a quality ring terminal using a propane torch, silver bearing solder and flux. The problem remains. I also upgraded the block to chassis ground to see if that helps, also with soldered ring...

    Low Idle after wiring upgrade

It seems really inconsistent, after I got off work today the opposite happened. Now it seems to be idling high (a little over 1000 rpms) and that was with A/C full blast and headlights on. It did end up going back right below 1000 rpms in Park when I got home.

    Low Idle after wiring upgrade

Hey guys, I'm starting the Big Three and I just recently upgraded the battery to chassis ground with 1/0 gauge wire. I haven't done the alternator to battery or block to chassis ground yet. After upgrading I noticed the idle on my car seems sketchy, and it drops when I shift (A/T), mainly on...

My car got broken into last night

Sorry to hear it man, my car was broken into earlier this year so I know how much it sucks. The same thing happened with my deck as well, except luckily for me they left the faceplate on the passenger seat so I didn't need to replace it. Funny how they always give up on the stereo, I guess quick...

    Helms Manuals for Interior

Hey guys, I'm interested in picking up the Helms manual but I was wondering if it includes diagrams for disassembling the interior? I've seen the diagrams I'm looking for on these forums for parts such as the instrument cluster and glove box, and would like to find the book that contains them...

Installed Keyless Entry on LX (with a small problem)

Thanks for the replies guys, it's good to know I'm not the only one. I thought maybe I installed something wrong. @Bada$$VTec In the mounting hole where the instructions had the relay it was bumping the lower dash panel. It was starting to get dark so I just mounted it somewhere else nearby so...

Installed Keyless Entry on LX (with a small problem)

Whats up guys, I'm having a strange issue with my keyless entry. A couple days ago I installed the Honda OEM Keyless Entry kit for my 2001 LX. The installation went really well, and it works great. I am having a little issue though. I noticed if I open the driver side door right after...

Installing LED in Clock, Need help...

Hey guys, first post ;) I'm the new owner of a 2001 Honda Accord LX (had it for about 5 days now) and today I'm doing my first upgrade: replacing the burnt out light bulb with a new LED light. I found several threads on this with some good information but I do not have a soldering iron so I...
