Hello 6GA. Just got this home. A friend had tranny problems with this one, so he decided to go for a '11 BMW. Sold it to me for 2k. I think it's a good pick up since a rebuild is usually around 1k (my guess) and has relatively low miles for a 99. My current 95 EX has 202k
1999 / 4 cyl / EX / Auto / 117K.
On the way home, I loved the way it rode. More room everywhere and more compartments. another thing, no rust!!! 94/95 are cancerous
I'm expecting to learn a lot from you guys.
I'm looking into new headlights, morimoto retro, intake, clean up the engine bay, replace/clean rusted bolts, rear roof spoiler, front lip... and mayyyybe, just maybe... lower it a bit. Can't really lower much since NYC aren't the best for lowered cars.
WOW that PS is small compared to the 5th gens
I'll throw my 5th gen in here since I like to show my accord love
I'm going through thread after thread looking for info on using a different auto tranny. Rebuilding this tranny is my last option, since it's the crappiest 4cyl auto out of all F series engines. I rather use, if possible, the 5th gen auto since it's easier to source and it's less prone to slip. I'm keeping it auto guys, no 5spd swap yet.
If you guys can help shed some light, I would appreciate it. I tried "auto h22" "auto f22" "auto swap" searches. phew ... reading is exhausting! lol
Thanks guys!
