so it never worked or it went out? is the preamp output turned on? can you return this one? could it be the speaker? wires come disconnected inside the box?

I've got 2 amps go out before. the power lights come on the amp but there's no sound. i was told it sounds like the power supply died

check the grounds and make sure thier good. kinda wierd but smell the amp. if you smell a weird burning smell it might be bad. but in your case since its brand new you just have to make sure everythin is connected right really and that the sub control on your deck is on. ive been pretty dumb about that sometimes. does it even turn on?>???

be like it is
well i'll get the technicalities out the way...such as the amp having wires not hooked to it :lawl: and that its not 500 watts, either.

stuff to check, in rough order:
is the sub hooked up right? what voice coil config does the sub have?
ground it at a different spot. make sure it's the best ground you've ever done in your life.
the power LED come on? is the protection LED on?
check every single connection...even the turn on lead behind the headunit
REPLACE amp fuse
REPLACE inline fuse on power wire. just because a fuse looks good, doesn't mean it is.

start there...
