well the old blue i had on the valve covers had to go. just got tired of it.
so over the last few weeks during all the christmas stuff going on and such, i just worked on the pieces slowly.
sanded em one week to get the old blue off.
primered next few.
laid down some gloss black.
then added the color effex over the black.
this is the result. i wanted something closer to original black but with a little touch on it. i think they turned out well. few spots that arent as good as id like them but overall im satisfied. it will stay this color for a while tho.
not in the sun the pieces just look gloss black with a little gray to them.
in the light, they look like this...
