How do you cut off the factory pos. and neg. wires w/out making it too short to be spliced and connected into the new terminals?

They're crimped pretty damn well.

if you have a vice, try that. otherwise, a big set of pliers or you can just leave the stock wiring out and replace it completely. whichever suits you

Hey Wildman, I have a question for you. In your DIY, you didn't do step 3 of the ""Big-Three". I want to do step 3, but the terminals you have, fit the stock wire in the bigger hole, then the smaller one that was crimped with it originally in the smaller hole. The two holes already being taken up, leaves no room for the 1ga. wire to fit anywhere. I can put it in the 1ga. hole, but then will not be able to fit the other two wires anywhere after doing so. Is it possible to tuck the original wires both into the smaller hole together and leave the 1ga hole for the 1ga wire? It didn't look possible.. What are your suggestions? Do you understand what I am trying to say?

Please get back to me.
:peace:

don't understand what you're saying really, but i think your over-complicating it. just use common sense and it will be fine

I'm going to do the big three. I have found some 0 gauge cable and the connectors I need. I have some cable left over from my last install the copper core is about 1/4 thick (not sure what gauge that is it says 10mm) will that be thick enough to go from my alternator back to battery if I leave the original connected. It seems to me that would at least double the amount of copper back to the battery.
