so... what happens if the odometer and clock light isnt on at night? i heard if both is out, it's connected to one fuse. true?
so i replaced my bulb the other day. but the thing is it didnt work right away so i was adjusting it with the flathead while the car was on until i saw it light up. big mistake. i didnt have a cloth or anything in betweenthe flathead and the bulb so i saw a little spark when it lit up. then wen i drove my car home, the whole cluster wasnt working. none of the speed or rpm needles were working and my mileage screen was blank. then i turned off my car and tried to drive it again the car would start, but my shift button was stuck and i couldnt put it into drive. i finally got it to work and took it to the mechanic to take a look thiniking it was just a few simple fuses, but he ended up replacing my shifting unit too. which totaled to like 175. did i get ripped off? i just dont see how a simple clock assembly would affect all these things. ever since, my car feels a little weird while im braking? does this have anythign to do with what happened with the clock?
sorry this is so long
i was just wondering if it really was just a simple fuse, or if i really did need a new shifting unit. to save some ppl the trouble in the future
you shifting is stuck and cant get it to drive? i had that problem before also, but i was low on brake and the brake fluid was not reading where it was suppose to in the reservoir. maybe you need new pads? or there is air in the system?
