Same thing with me, I thought it slipped off and stripped off part of the tabs on the outside of the collar... but then I saw it was loose. hahaha. :)

nice pb blaster will stick on the threads for a while even if it gets wet i would get a can of that to keep them from sticking just make it a part of your regular maintenance

This happened to my buddy with a 7thgen, he bought some used coilovers online (D2's) and the bottome sleeve on both rears are seized as a mofo. the locking colar's were removed using aa pneumatic chipping hammer, after much failure trying to do it with the spanner wrenches.
Now the 2 threaded sleeves that screw on or off the threaded strut body,to raise and lower the height, are not moving.
We have no idea how to move these things :run:

I've learned that spanner wrenches are pretty much useless. There's always something better to do the trick. LOL.

sorry for bumping this old thread. but one of my lower mounts are seized and i cant turn it at all. my collar is loosen but the lower mount dont seem to turn a bit. i been soaking it in wd40. even bought the gallon tank and a tub for it to hold. still nothing. any help?
