like this?

I know the light isnt the best...but as far as composition

Yup. And people think more about a car traveling forward as opposed to backward, so it's usually better to leave the majority of space in front like you did. Just makes sense.

Lighting isn't too bad, it's interesting. The front half of the car is decently lit, which is more the focal point of the photo so it works imo.

Yeah, parking the car closer to the wall might have yielded that result, at least judging from where the lights overhead are. Trickiest part about lighting is getting good highlights/shadows, but not getting glare on the body and/or glass.

Also not sure if your camera has this setting, but taking photos in 16:9 as opposed to 4:3 ratio sometimes adds some versatility to what you can do with different shots and their composition. Kinda depends on the environment though.

The seats are good...theyre old, and id like to get something new, but they keep ya snug, and arent actually that bad long distance..

I was thinking the same, if i had gotten closer to the fence/wall, it would have turned out better. BUT, this is my first time messing around, and ran out of time at this point. The camera is actually my brothers, so Im going to have to borrow it until I can afford my own.

It can be a pain moving the car around, trying to find that perfect position. That's when having a tripod comes in handy. Have fun with the camera.

this one is probably a bit better lighting than the other rear end shot (which is pretty dark)
