DIY: Cubby Hole Lighting

So over the weekend I had a lot of homework so that meant I procrastinated, and made a new interior mod.

The difficulty of this project is a 3, and It took me about 2 hours because my drill was dead, so I had to drill a hole then charge my drill each time.
I also forgot to take pictures during the process but its really self explanatory.

Steps:
1. I first removed the cubby cover that just pops out.
2. I then drilled some holes with a drill according to the space between each led
3. I then pressed each led in by hand until they were in really tight.
(I used 1.2 Inch white Ozium flexible led strips, anything longer might be harder to conceal)

4. I then ran a wire back to the dome light +/- power wires.
5. Hide the extra wiring somewhere I chose to put it under the glove box.
6. Put the cubby cover back on and enjoy seeing into your cubby at night whenever the door opens/or when the doors are unlocked. This mod will work with the dome light switched to off also.
The l.e.d's are not visible from above so i didn't bother sanding the area.

I find that the map lights illumuminate the cubby pretty well. But you can never have too much light haha. Do the temp of the LED's match your other interior lighting?

What's with the circles around a couple of the LED's?

Thanks dude, I actually replaced my foot-well leds with some larger strips and had the smaller leds left over so I just threw them in the cubby.

The dome power wires are located by the passenger side fuse box, heres a photo I took when I did my foot-well wiring

Yes they match the other l.e.d's perfectly, I don't why the camera made them look blue probably because the light was just shining on black, but they are natural white so like 5k to give you an idea.
