Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have read through the forum but haven't seen this question answered. Can I buy the 74 bulb and replace the odometer light or do I have to buy the 74 with twist lock? Is it detachable? Thanks

Yes, the light bulbs are detachable from the socket.

5 Led bulbs are better then 1 to eliminate some hot spots. 20 Led is better then 5 in terms of brightness and eliminating more hot spots.

so what would be ideal to fit in the cluster? max of 4/5 or is that still a little bit big?

I had 5 led style bulbs, upgraded to 20 and thats as far as I think i'd go. 5LED style bulbs are honestly fine and the difference from 5->20 was not as big as one may think it is.
