door handles

the chrome is starting to peel off my door handles so i thinking about repainting them,what do you guys think?im thinking maybe black or the same red color as my car

If anything try to match it to the interior color if its tan or the gray..but that would be my opinion..
But just make sure you prep it right or the paint will flake right off again.

New ones for sure. I think they would look better black but it will be hard to find paint that holds up. I decided to paint my shift knob to mimic anodized black and although it holds up for about 6 months before it is done (I use HOK paint which isn't the most durable but far better than spray paint). If you do paint them, use high quality paint with a catalist. Scuff well. Most people don't have a problem with their exterior door handles flaking and paint coming off and they get touched probably exactly equally as much, plus see more extreme conditions
