be like it is
The OP has a manual, she just wants a servo-shifted manual with paddle shifters (DSG), not a manumatic.
i think shes got a v6...
OP, you could get a J32 and auto trans from an 02-03 TL type S. Has sport shifting like your moms infinity. Only thing is that you could potentially, more than likely, end up with a sh!tty tranny. But it would be what you're looking for.
...thats a manumatic...and believe me, having driven both a J32 5spd and a few DSGs, the honda manumatic is seriously lacking.

Just do what I said - you'll have a turbo 6GA with K-series, automatic and "paddle shifted" wonder. They offer a fwd version of the RDX for 2010 so find a wrecked one asap to get started! If you got more $$$$, do a full SH-AWD conversion from any older RDX!

BTW: Let me know when done so I can do the same!

How did you find your initial take off in it, it's not like a normal automatic type transmission where it takes off the instant you let off the brakes right?

Sorry, I missed this before.

The initial take off can only be compared to a motorcycle, (as I have never been an an f-15 jet) The only word I can use is Insane. Its simply bonkers what that car can do.

Huh? :eh:

My old 95 Accord hit 115 @ 4250 rpm and hit a fuel cut, I'm sure the 6th gens are similar, minus the fuel cut(?).

DSG systems are for automatic transmissions tho, the paddle shifters use the computer to shift gears so i dont even think its possible to do so in a manual trans

I think a lot of you are confusing automatic transmissions with servo shifting manual transmissions...

Read up on the differences between a direct shift gearbox and manumatic (tiptronic). A DSG uses two servo actuated clutches and 2 helical gearsets. A tiptronic automatic transmission is still your standard automatic with planetary gears, only you can use the shifter to tell the computer to when to shift gears or let the computer do it for you. They're very similar in theory, but completely different in design.

DSGs are not technically automatics. Like Finchy said, they're servo shifted manuals. In layman's, a manual without a foot operated clutch.

And if we are going to be 100% clear about this: "DSG" is VW's terminology for their system. Its like calling all bandages Band-aids, when some are clearing just gauze.

BMW has the SMG system, Mitsu call's theirs dual clutch the TC-SST, Nissan's is the ATTESA E-TS. All those are true dual clutch systems.

The RDX's garbage though. You can do the same thing by shifting the auto stick on your accord.
