E-Brake isn't holding

my car's e-brake barely works even if i pull the **** out of it. i've adjusted it and it still barely holds the car, and if i'm on a hill it won't hold for ****. are my rear calipers seized? cause i just replaced them maybe 6 months ago.

Humph. I would also like to know the reasoning behind this. Would my old autotragic have anything to do with this ? I'm in the middle of a 5spd swap and I'm hoping that my e-brake works .. cuz if I park on a hill and it doesn't, well then I'm screwed.

I had to replace my ebrake cables.

remove the center console to expose the ebrake lines. tighten the 10mm or 12mm bolt connected.

put it in gear when parking on hills.

i tightened mine and it worked pretty good, but it still sucks. 1st gear when facing uphill, reverse facing down. never had any problems as of yet

check the brake make sure its not seized and the e-brake cables to see if they are moving freely

Correct me if I'm wrong but the e-brake does not work with the rear calipers on disc brakes. It works like drum brakes. There are pads inside the brake rotor that expand when you pull the e-brake cable. If you use the e-brake to slow down sometimes instead of using your brakes (like when braking when there's a cop), it's possible that the pads could be out.

You are incorrect. The 6ga does not have drum in rotor e-brake. It is rotor and pad only.

I had the same problem, my caliper was seized. 900 at the shop to fix

thats pretty ridiculous. i did my 5 lug swap for under $300
