    So this would eliminate the need to have a key programmed at the dealership? Very interesting.... Now I wont have to worry about My ECU that I bought and don't have a VIN for.

    if my ecu doesn't work with my key i'm sending it your way drift :boink:

    just got my key programmed for 50 bucks
    not bad.
    i really wanted to try this out though mayb next time

    50 bucks, that's it ... i would have thought it would have been more expensive ... what is the process on getting it done?

    Bring ecu's and keys to dealer and tell them you need them reflashed to the new ecu.

    i figured they would make it more complicated ... so i guess that means i wont need to drive or tow my car to the dealer?

    Hmm...dunno. Probably not, but they usually ask for proof that the vehicle is yours. Ask someone that's done it.
